ALONE WE ARE STRONG, TOGETHER WE ARE MIGHTY. |
So often we work independently in our individual silos, toiling to create change. When we come together to work proactively instead of reactively, change happens quickly. The goal of Renewed is to bring together people from diverse backgrounds, economic strata, and generations to enact change.
This work isn't just about making the neighborhood where you live better, but working to lift all neighborhoods in Jacksonville to a positive place. For those neighborhoods that need the most attention we must come together to enact positive change. But it is not enough that those of us who are of like mind come together we must also help others to see differently. |
Updates.
“Giving isn't just about making a donation, it is about making a difference.”
Our Work Is Getting Noticed!
Recently Renewed Community Initiatives was featured in VoyageJacksonville. Those who are featured in have generally been recommended to VoyageJacksonville. It means so much to us that our work is of value to others. We don't do it for the applause but it sure is nice.

Over two years ago, Renewed Community Initiatives began what we hope will be the ongoing tradition of giving away Life Essentials Bags to those in need. This includes those who are experiencing difficulties with housing or who simply might not be able to afford some items essential to our current times. In these bags we included various toiletries, most recently hand sanitizer, masks, and a few other necessary items that some of us take for granted. It is always important to let those of us living in the most challenging circumstances know they are seen. This is an ongoing fundraiser since folks need things year round. Most of our work is made possible by caring and concerned individuals in our community who understand that resources aren't always distributed in a balanced way. If you'd like to give a monetary donation any amount helps! It would be great if you could share $2 to $5. If you'd like to donate physical items for this year's bags we are asking for (all new items please) tube socks, hand sanitizer, disposable gloves, face masks washable and/or disposable, lightweight blankets (we found great ones at IKEA), toothpaste/toothbrush kits, and KIND bars. To arrange a pick up please contact us. You'll get to read a little about how all of these Renewed Community shenanigans got started and how a mom and a daughter have tried to uplift communities one small effort at a time.
